About Us
| History Often ranked the number one destination for travelers and tourists from around the world; San Francisco is also home to a gift, jewelry, and apparel market as cosmopolitan as the City itself. Located in historic South of Market, 888 BRANNAN (formerly the Giftcenter & Jewelrymart) is a cornerstone of the San Francisco Design District. A collection of 200 wholesale gift, jewelry, and apparel showrooms represent over 270 product categories. These showrooms are open to the trade only and service the gift, jewelry, and apparel retail communities in Northern California and the northwest United States. The diversity in product, showroom styles, and culture makes 888 BRANNAN an exceptional resource for retailers. Eleven trade shows each year attract thousands of retail buyers annually. Originally built in 1912 by the National Carbon Company, the building at 888 Brannan is on the National Register of Historic Places. Later serving as a paper warehouse for Blake, Moffitt and Towne it was converted into a wholesale mart, housing almost 200 gift and jewelry showrooms. The Giftcenter’s wholesale gift and decorative accessory showrooms opened officially in April 1983, and are still located on floors 4 and 5. Expansion Since 1989, Fine jewelry, Children’s Wear, and fashion accessory showrooms have been housed in the four floors of an expansion of the original building known as the Jewelrymart and Fashionmart. Over 125 companies offer a wide array of jewelry and accessories, including fine custom jewelry, gem stones, watches, costume jewelry, bridge jewelry, leather goods and children’s apparel. On-Site Services 888 BRANNAN provides a complete complement of services, including the following: Chanterelle Market Deli - Take out breakfast and lunch with plentiful seating in our soaring atrium to enjoy your meal. On the Rocks- Our full service bar Sundry Store - convenience store open daily Federal Express and UPS Drop Boxes - located in Shipping Direct U.S. Post Office distribution to on-site PO boxes for tenant pick-up only The Neighborhood The San Francisco Design District, also known as Showplace Square, has been the center of the Bay Area’s interior design, home furnishing, apparel, gift, and jewelry markets for decades With the continuing renovation of historic sites and addition of design forward buildings, the neighborhood is quickly becoming one of the city’s top destinations. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Being a wholesale and by appointment facility, 888 BRANNAN is not open to the public. To retain the integrity of the wholesale-retail relationship, the following admission requirements have been established: For entry, buyers must present ALL of the following pieces of business identification at the Registration Desk.
(a) copy of state resale/retail license (i.e., seller’s permit) (b) business card (imprinted with name of buyer) or business check (c) personal identification (e.g., valid driver’s license, other photo ID, etc.)
Permanent Passes: Holders must present their passes at the Registration Desk in addition to photo ID. Using specific guidelines, the Registration Staff will determine the type of badge issued based upon the credentials presented.
No persons under the age of 16 will be allowed in the wholesale areas of the building. Children’s proof of age required. Infants in front-or back-packs are the only exceptions.
No strollers or carriers are permitted. No more than two (2) guests may accompany each buyer.
Guests are not permitted on Floors 3, 4, and 5. Only qualified buyers (and their employees who present appropriate business credentials) are permitted on these floors.
